Government Realigns Petroleum Prices: High-Speed Diesel Up, Petrol Reduced
Diesel price increases Rs3.74, petrol falls Rs3.13

The Ministry of Energy (Petroleum Division) has announced an adjustment in the ex-depot prices of petroleum products, effective September 5, 2026. Under the updated rates, the price of High-Speed Diesel (HSD) has increased by Rs 3.74 per litre, whereas Motor Spirit (petrol) has seen a reduction of Rs 3.13 per litre.
In accordance with the Federal Government's revised pricing framework, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has calculated and issued these updated ex-depot rates, which will remain in effect from September 5 through September 7, 2026. Per the existing regulatory procedure, OGRA determines and notifies fuel price adjustments on a daily basis.
