Pakistan Bakhabar — “bakhabar” meaning informed, or in the know — is a bilingual Urdu and English digital news publication.
We publish current news and updates from Pakistan, from around the world, and across a range of fields of public interest, in both Urdu and English, so readers can follow the news in whichever language they’re most comfortable in.

Bilingual, by design
Every story is written and published independently in Urdu and/or English, not machine-translated from one into the other. A story may appear in one language first, with the other language following separately. Our Urdu is set in Nastaliq script with typography built for correct, readable Urdu — not English text transliterated into Urdu characters.
How we work
Most stories carry a named author whose byline links to their author page. Some stories — typically wire-style updates or short items — are published under the “Pakistan Bakhabar News Desk” byline instead of an individual name; a Pakistan Bakhabar editor remains responsible for every story we publish either way.
We aim to verify what we publish before it goes live, and to correct errors we find or that readers point out to us.
Editorial independence and accuracy
We report and edit our own coverage. We aim for accuracy and fairness in every story, and we welcome readers holding us to that standard.
